Please join us for the Pasty Connexion’s first event: Foulmouth.

During the current Conservative brand of austerity, creativity, culture and the arts are being systematically removed from the current education system. The response from many arts universities has been to refocus management of the institutions into strict business models, often involving the closure of courses that are deemed ‘no longer sustainable’ (Else, 2014). This process has had a negative effect on staff and student attitude, creating an atmosphere of ‘fear’ (Shaw, 2016) over job loss and the loss of many valued courses across the country.
In response to the suspension of the foundation diploma at Falmouth University, The Pasty Connexion presents ‘Foulmouth’. Demonstrating the importance of the foundation as a crucial stage in artistic development. The exhibition will showcase students, tutors and associates of the course, celebrating the diversity of skills and knowledge it represents.

The show will include students and staff from: Brighton, Camberwell, Central Saint Martins, Chelsea, Falmouth, Kingston, The Slade and Wimbledon.

The exhibition ‘Foulmouth’ will be shortly followed by a lecture series featuring guest artists and industry experts.

The Pasty Connexion is a group of expat Falmouth university students currently studying in London.
