Our friends at Slash Stroke are currently producing our first Educational Community project, a HACKNEY STREET STYLE SCHOOL in assocation with Middlesex University, Create London, Hackney Council and the Mill Co Project. The success of this event is in the interaction and connection between industry and creative youths. If you would like to know more please get in touch or pass on to those the course might help enable. We will also be contacting designer who wish to be part of the project in terms on loaning clothes/ product for the shoots and images.

SLASHSTROKE aim to make a real connection between East London Youth and industry by inviting some of London’s hottest new Designers who’s work is inspired by or reflects youth culture to donate outfits for a short period. Around this we will operate workshops in photography, styling and image making offering a clear connection between creativity, productivity and aspiration. Creating a platform to further education, opportunities and career paths.

Participants will gain first hand information and have contact with Fashion industry professionals and educators through styling, photography and graphic workshops utilizing the best East London fashion labels in the creative hub of The Rose Lipman Buliding. Participants will have the opportunity to record the creative process and produce tangible work of real value. This project is part sponsored by Middlesex University who will offer participants a certificate of qualification on completion of the project .

The work produced will go live on SLASHSTROKE MAGAZINE and shared with industry sponsors.
